Hayden Rathel, MS, DMD, MS graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2020. Following graduation, he obtained an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate from Hospital Dentistry at UAB Hospital. Dr. Rathel completed his orthodontics training and obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Rathel holds a Master of Science in Preclinical Sciences from Mercer University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and American Dental Association. Dr. Rathel is looking forward to returning to his hometown of Huntsville this July.

When not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Rathel enjoys spending time with his wife, Douglas, and their new baby, Hayes. Dr. Rathel also enjoys spending time bird hunting with his dog, Ridley. In the evenings you can find Dr. Rathel on walks with his family and in the fall, you will find him cheering on the Crimson Tide and on a few occasions the Bayou Bengals!
