Dean C. Brandon, DMD

Huntsville and North Alabama has been my home for a long time. In fact, I was born and raised here. I wanted to be a Pediatric Dentist as far back as my days at Huntsville High School. There, and again later at UAH, I studied Biology (my favorite subject) and Chemistry and developed my interest in science. Later at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at UAB, I fulfilled my dream to become a dentist. I completed my residency in Pediatric Dentistry at LSU School of Dentistry and at the Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.

For over 20 years, I have been with APDAO. Being in practice this long, seeing former patients bringing in their children for me to care for is a great honor.

My two children remind me every day how different kids can be. In fact, dealing with anxious children in my residency was a focus of my research on sedative medications. I am also on the part time faculty at the dental school in Birmingham.
